This blog is about me and my take on style and fashion. It’s set with the background of me being a woman with a professional career in the financial industry since more than 20 years. I will explore how to create new outfits from the everyday black office suit. How do you reinvent yourself and your wardrobe when you don’t have time, or money, to shop? How inventive do you dare to be with your office style and yet still be stylish? How do you make the most out of the assets that you have been given, as opposed to being a slave under trends created for the 20 year olds? I love quality textile! So this is also about how I’m using my love for textile when adding to my wardrobe both from buying and from creating clothes with my own design. How I search and find the things that inspire and energize me when it comes to style and fashion.
The title of the blog is chosen with a wink to Diana Vreeland, former fashion journalist at Harper’s Bazar and editor-in-chief at Vogue, who was a classy, original maverick who thought out of the box before anyone even knew there was a box. Not even pretending to be anything like her, I still hope that the title can instill some inspiration and sparkle, some ‘why don’t you…’
