If in Japan why not a béret Japonais? I finally found a béret that fit me and my head and the make is Japanese. I was lucky because the weather wasn’t cooperating the days we were visiting Kyoto, it was both chilly, windy with a touch of snow and rain… And I thought Kyoto would be warmer than Tokyo, but not so. Actually nothing cooperated that day as I also succeeded in smashing my phone to the ground – still haven’t retrieved my pictures…
Photo cred for these pictures goes to my daughter. We found this beautiful little alley in the old Kyoto, while strolling around in the Higashiyama District, close to where we stayed in a small ryokan. A Japanese hotel where the rooms have tatami mats, you sleep on matresses on the floor and seating is also on the floor (no chairs…) to very low tables. A beautiful and very different experience!
