Ever tried the combination of navy blue with black? If not, it’s about time. I remember Paris, 1983 when I saw it the first time, on a very chic french lady, in awe of the very elegant touch it creates with very simple means.
I have kept rerunning the color combination over the years, not every year for sure, but now it feels like it’s time again. For summer with the pleated navy skirt in a sheer fabric creating a flimsy twist, combined with my regular business blazer and a white linen shirt.
For fall and winter I have extended plans for the navy blue – black combination, among others including the draped skirt I mentioned the other week.
Adding pointed flats to make more of a statement.
