An asymetrical wrap skirt with a knot – how trendy can it be without loosing it? Personally I think trends always need to be interpreted and transfered to a person’s individual style to become interesting. Too much of a trend with no balance becomes uninteresting, too obvious. I’m very ambiguous to it-pieces. Usually I can’t stand the thought of wearing it-pieces because it usually means that you look like everyone else that season. With this green asymetrical wrap skirt I think the balance is achieved when styled with old neutral sandals and a cute flowery top, still in trend but not too obvious.
When do trendy garments become over the top, too much? Usually when they can be seen everywhere, it’s a cut or style unheard of before, no one would even think about wearing them two seasons in a row and they are ill-fitting… Like this season, wearing an off-the-shoulder top would mean becoming too obvious. And even more so when I think of why it doesn’t appeal to me at all- firstly it’s one of those too trendy tops – who would even think about wearing such a top another season?
Secondly in my age you can’t wear a top without a bra, and the combination of the off-the-shoulder top with bra straps? No!
Thirdly, not many women whatever age can pull off an off-the-shoulder top, it requires nice firm boobs…
