Why don’t you go for corduroy?
It’s a soft and smooth textile and often the colors come forward in a better way than in the much harder denim fabric. I personally like the structure and the softness of the fabric and it feels refreshingly new after a couple of years with a total focus on denim. These pants have details in leather (guaranteed to be machine washable!) in connection to the zippers.
