Variation on a Top with Japanese Print

Being updated is sometimes about how you create variations with small means.

I found this super nice silk fabric with a Japanese inspired print while browsing the Garment district and fell in love. So much that I had to create something from it. At the time I didn’t have access to my sewing machine so I actually attached the fabric to the T-shirt by hand sewing. The base is a plain black T-shirt with a v-neck and then I have attached a silk fabric in the front.
I have kept the sleeves and the back untouched from the original T-shirt. Making it a variation of this mix of materials that is so popular right now.
