I can’t get enough of my suede skirt! It dates back so many years that it now qualifies as a vintage piece. Just proves that sometimes it’s worth going for the expensive pieces when shopping! This was on sale at the time and I was hesitating for the combination of winter white and suede. I mean how practical is that? At the time of my purchase my kids were in the age if clinging and sticky fingers so my hesitation was both relevant and understandable. But as you can see, I did buy it and haven't regret it! … [Read more...] about A Winter White Suede Skirt
Reinventing the Suede Skirt With a Nude Knit
Picking up a lot of trends for the winter by just adding one more piece, a nude knit from COS. Winter white (well ok, neutral...), monochrome, suede and midi-skirt just by combining my old vintage skirt with a ribbed knit. Love when I find these types of solutions! The knit is a ribbed, merino wool top with slightly long arms. COS offer such a knit for a fraction of the price if compared to the knits I checked out at Acne with the samt styles. Skirt also seen here and here. Ankle boots - Acne … [Read more...] about Reinventing the Suede Skirt With a Nude Knit
The Suede Skirt
One of my best investments ever has turned out to be this suede skirt. Nude, midi length bought around 2002. First wave of wear and tear was for 5 years, rested for a couple of years to recur 3 years ago. I can remember my doubts about the color - I mean, how practical is a nude colored suede skirt, every stain will be forever?! And in the years between 2007-2013 I had a couple of … [Read more...] about The Suede Skirt

Requiring a bit of thought as it comes to the color of the leggings, not too dark and not too light. Here a perfect dark grey. Shirt - Club Monaco Skirt - old, Tara Jarmon Boots - acne … [Read more...] about In Search For Lighter Colors

Back At The Office
And back to the purpose and meaning of this blog - style and fashion at the office setting. There has been too much skiing going on lately... For the first day in the office I choose something structured and knitted; styling my suede skirt with my fishnet knit and a pair of cognac boots. The boots have a revival this winter, have been hiding in my closet for a couple of years. Although it might be a short revival as I pray a little prayer every time I zip them up, feels as if the zipper is giving up on … [Read more...] about Back At The Office
