End of season sale and I found a new companion that I have great hopes for. A black and white little miracle jacket that will accompany all my black skirts and pants. Feminine with a straight and short cut and as a detail, a little bow tie (that the pictures don't really capture). At first I actually planned to take it off but it makes such a cute little detail so it's there to stay. Gotta love the French designers, the website is worth a visit just for the mixed media setting. Check it out - Giambattista … [Read more...] about My New Companion
Summer Day in Summer Dress
Finishing off the week ahead of vacation, it's just lovely that warmth and sunshine rules! I took the opportunity to wear one of my New York summer dresses! This one of my own making. … [Read more...] about Summer Day in Summer Dress
Chanel Skirt
A classic pencil skirt in Chanel fabric with some shine and sparkle but with details more oriented versus a jeans look. I bring it out every spring when the sun demands more of lighter colors than the usual black. As you can see I made it with a slightly wider waist band and some cool details on the back pockets using the endings of the fabric and influences more from jeans wear than from a classic Chanel garment. It's a mix of styles that I like and make clothes more interesting! In New York I actually … [Read more...] about Chanel Skirt
My Black Office Jacket
One of the key wears in an office wardrobe is to have a nicely fitted black office jacket. On the other hand, the better the brand (and the more money you spend) the more likely you will also have a jacket with a good fit! Having … [Read more...] about My Black Office Jacket
Glitter On A Thursday
Why don't you glitter on a Thursday? Sometimes when I start projects I can't really tell where I got the inspiration from. If you would have asked me 6 months ago if I would ever wear a glittery skirt to work I would have said NO, but somewhere along the line I must have changed my mind. I think my inspiration for this skirt originally came from something I spotted at Zadig & Voltaire in the spring, a stylish grey draped skirt, beautiful fabric with sequins. But, as so much else, too … [Read more...] about Glitter On A Thursday
Sparkle at the Xmas Party
Why don't you sparkle at the Xmas party? Leave the little black dress behind! This is the third Xmas season I'm wearing this dress and I feel great about it! The narrow cut, the A shaped form of the skirt and the mix of materials, chanel wool with sparkle, paired up with leather details, the combination make it feel as if it could have been sewn/bought this winter. And I just love the color! For this party I just styled it with my Steve Madden boots and my regular … [Read more...] about Sparkle at the Xmas Party
