When you least expect good things to happen, there they are, right in front of you! I found one hidden gem this week, Cafe Cineast/Konditoriet in Sveg, Sweden! One of those glamorous working days when I headed out to the airport too early in the morning in order to catch the morning flight, spend a day in an office for meetings and return back late at night. This time I headed for this small, small town in northern Sweden that we always speed through while driving to our mountain house. Sveg for me is a … [Read more...] about Good Morning Sveg!
Atlantic Coast of Spain
With the background of being a rock solid Francophil, I realise that there are huge gaps in my traveling experience within the rest of Europe. In Transit
... tournament is over and me and my son are transferring from the gastly Benidorm to another location in Spain. There are so many nice and beautiful towns in Spain where you can go so just pick anything but Benidorm! Spent the day in Alicante, see the pictures below, which proved to be a bigger than expected little … [Read more...] about In Transit
I Have Left The Office
.... and I'm now taking on my role as a soccer mom. This has to be considered as pay back time for all those games April through November in pouring rain and minus degrees Celsius. Finally arriving for a tournament in Benidorm, Spain, the players are suffering while playing in 30 degrees Celcius but I can assure you that I'm loving every minute of it! The Swedish flag in hand, I have left the fashion reports behind! See you in a bit! … [Read more...] about I Have Left The Office
Wherever I Lay My Skis, That’s My Home
Definitely true for me and one of my favorite spots in Sweden, Tänndalen. Spring skiing at easter in the Swedish mountains is just fabulous. The last bit of skiing before the season closes down and you have to wait 7-8 months until it's time again. The combination of X country skiing, downhill, the packed lunch, coffee in the sun, the calm, early mornings to catch the hard snow before everything gets slushy, game nights, dinner with friends and family, after ski on the terrace... Admittedly the … [Read more...] about Wherever I Lay My Skis, That’s My Home
