.... took a road trip in the Austrian Alpes for a week. Thats what happens to you when your son decides to take a gap year to go skiing. He’s now working as a ski instructor at Bad Gastein which turned out to be our first stop. Never been before so I was very excited to try out both the location and the ski area! Getting Ready
....for ski season! Spending the weekend up north to test out new jacket and to let puppy get used to snow! He can’t claim to be a mountain dog unless he knows about snow and skiing! Jacket, super light goretex for cross country skiing, from Peak Performance. It pays off to have a daughter part-time working for Peak! Stylish and yet functional, the best combo! Surviving The Cold
I know it's late in the season and the coldest period is already past but after our last week skiing I can't resist talking about how to survive in excessive cold. This winter I 've skied temperatures between -25 and -18 degrees Celsius (-12 to 0 degrees Fahrenheit) far too many days. Literally the whole winter break week had freezing temperatures!
